Land surveying is a profession that’s been practiced since the days of our founding fathers back in the 18th century, including our first President of the U.S., George Washington, and is also practiced by several qualified engineers. Surveyors employ different techniques in order to accurately determine the 3-dimensional or terrestrial points, angles, and distances on the surface of the earth. This is usually done to create boundaries or maps to establish ownership or for other purposes as required by the government.
