Construction Surveying

Construction surveying is a land survey showing the points and locations needed for a construction project. It is done to establish the location of highways, buildings, bridges, and other man-made structures. Land surveyors specializing in this field are called construction surveyors. They make sure that these man-made structures are exactly located when being built in terms of accurate dimensional measurements.

The purpose of construction surveying is to establish the required vertical and horizontal positioning, determine the location of the construction or improvements, specify configurations and dimensions, and documentation of the layouts and measurements to be able to carry out construction works accurately as specified on the survey’s plans and designs.
